Body is found in the hunt for missing woman, 25, who vanished on Friday: Police probe ‘unexplained’ death

Daily Mail · 2 hours ago

A body has been found in the search for Eilidh Bell, a 25-year-old woman who went missing after last being seen in Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute, in the early hours of Friday. Police Scotland discovered the body on Monday near Kilkerran Road; although formal identification has not yet taken place, officers say the family has been informed and the death is being treated as unexplained while enquiries continue.

Ms Bell was reported missing on Sunday, with her disappearance described by loved ones as completely out of character. Her mother, Jenny Bell, and aunt, Laura McEwan, had appealed publicly on Facebook over the weekend for help finding her, describing her as adored by family and friends. Police say a report on the death will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, and Ms Bell's family has asked for privacy to be respected at this time.
