Angèle announces new album ‘Instinct’ featuring Justice, Soulwax, Caroline Polachek and more
Belgian musician Angèle has announced her new album, "Instinct", out on 16 October via Angèle VL Records/Sony Music, featuring collaborations with Justice, Soulwax and Caroline Polachek. She marked the announcement by releasing a new single and accompanying video, "Une seule vie", building on earlier previews "Dis-Le" and "What You Want" with Justice.
"Une seule vie" was produced by Angèle with regular collaborator Tristan Salvati and is described as an "urgent call" exploring doubt and the nature of truth. Its video, shot entirely on 16mm in the south of France by director Thomas Mailaender, uses in-camera techniques such as stop motion and superimposition, and incorporates footage of the 12 August solar eclipse. The 13-track album also features Soulwax on "Trop", Justice on "What You Want" and Caroline Polachek alongside SebastiAn on "Love Triangle", and is billed as an electronic-led exploration of identity, control and release.
