Google has increased the price of its Google TV Streamer 4K box by $50, taking it from $99 to $149. The rise, now reflected on the Google Store and at Best Buy, follows closely on the heels of a $100 price increase for Google's new Pixel 11 phones, suggesting a broader push by the company to raise prices across its hardware range.

The Google TV Streamer, which launched in 2024 and also functions as a smart home hub, is not alone in getting pricier: Amazon is still listing the device at its original cost. The wider streaming device market has also seen increases, with Amazon recently raising the price of its Fire TV Stick 4K Max by more than 40 percent to $84.99, while Apple's TV 4K now costs $199 for the 64GB model and $249 for the 128GB model following price hikes in June, amid ongoing component shortages affecting tech products generally.
