Netflix Signs Global Deal For British True Crime Podcast ‘Outlore With Eleanor Neale’

Deadline · 3 hours ago

Netflix has struck an exclusive global deal to host "Outlore with Eleanor Neale," a popular British true crime podcast, marking the streamer's latest push into audio content. The move follows Netflix's earlier podcast tie-up with Goalhanger for football-themed shows, signalling a deliberate strategy to bring established podcast audiences onto its platform as it diversifies beyond scripted and unscripted video.

Neale launched Outlore in 2018 after identifying a gap in the UK market for true crime content in the style of popular American podcasts, and the show has since amassed more than 500 million YouTube views and over 2.8 million subscribers. The podcast focuses on the psychology behind crimes and aims to centre victims' stories ahead of the headlines they generated. Neale, who is managed by and co-founded Moth Mgmt and is represented by UTA, said she was proud to bring the show to a new audience while retaining its distinctly British, conversational tone.
