Collider is partnering with Hasbro and Fathom Entertainment to offer readers free tickets to an early screening of the 40th-anniversary re-release of The Transformers: The Movie, paired with an advance showing of the new animated short Optimus Prime: Awakening. The event, taking place in Los Angeles, will also serve as a tribute to the late Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime and numerous other iconic characters, who lent his voice to the new short before his death.

The screening takes place on Tuesday 8 September at 7pm at the Landmark Sunset Theatre, ahead of the short's official theatrical debut on Transformers Day, 17 September. Director Josh Wassung will take part in a Q&A afterwards, moderated by Collider's Steve Weintraub, and the site will also record fan reactions in the lobby. Readers can enter for free tickets via a link on Collider's site, with wider Fathom Entertainment screenings available to purchase separately.
