Conor McMenamin has rejoined Glentoran on deadline day, just two months after leaving St Mirren for a long-term deal at Coleraine. The 31-year-old winger admitted the switch to the Bannsiders "was not meant to be", citing family and personal circumstances, and said Glentoran was not an option when he left Coleraine originally but he pushed to complete the move quickly once it became available.

McMenamin previously scored 39 goals in 80 appearances for Glentoran before joining St Mirren in 2023, where he made 64 appearances and won the 2025-26 League Cup, beating Celtic in the final. At Coleraine he made only three substitute appearances without a start. He said he hopes to bring his winning experience to help Glentoran challenge for trophies, and that his return to a familiar setting, after already speaking with Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill, may help revive his international career, having not played for Northern Ireland since June 2024 despite 14 caps.
