A woman was arrested outside the Massachusetts courthouse hosting Lindsay Clancy's murder trial, minutes after jurors said they were deadlocked, raising fresh tension around an already fraught case. Dawn Light, 56, of Sutton, was taken into custody outside Plymouth court and charged with intimidation of a witness, juror or person furnishing information, though police have not confirmed whether the arrest is linked to the Clancy proceedings.

Clancy, 36, a former labour and delivery nurse, is accused of strangling her three children – Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months – with exercise bands at their Duxbury home in January 2023 before attempting suicide. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, citing postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors argue the killings were premeditated. After five weeks of testimony from more than 80 witnesses, the jury of nine women and three men told the judge on Tuesday they could not reach a unanimous verdict; he ordered them to keep deliberating, and they were sent home for the night after around 23 hours of deliberation across four days, due to resume at 9am Wednesday.
