BBC Sport has confirmed expanded coverage of women's football for the 2026-27 season, as the Women's Super League grows to include three new teams and anticipation builds towards next summer's Women's World Cup in Brazil. The broadcaster remains the only free-to-air home of WSL football, underlining its role in growing the visibility and reach of the women's game ahead of what promises to be a landmark year for the sport.

The BBC will show 25 live WSL matches on TV and iPlayer, starting with Chelsea v Aston Villa on 5 September, alongside a new post-match segment, The Women's Football Fallout, featuring pundits including Fara Williams and Steph Houghton. A new dedicated YouTube channel will host extended highlights and a fresh weekly series, The Debrief, while the Women's Football Weekly podcast moves to Mondays with host Ben Haines and Ellen White. The website and app will offer club-specific pages for the first time, alongside expanded reporting from Emma Sanders and a new fan chat community for supporters.
