David Oyelowo & Nate Parker’s Mansa Studios Debuts Slate Of TikTok Microdramas

Deadline · 4 hours ago

David Oyelowo and Nate Parker's Mansa Studios is launching three vertical microdrama series directly on TikTok Minis, marking the company's first shows to debut on the platform. The move reflects a broader push by Mansa, which bills itself as the first microdrama service dedicated to Black stories, to meet audiences on mobile-first, short-form platforms as viewing habits shift away from traditional streaming.

The three new titles are My Twin Sister Stole My Man, a family betrayal drama; I Married the King of the Streets, a high-stakes romance set in a dangerous criminal world; and The Love Contract, about an arranged relationship that turns unexpectedly real. The launch follows months of collaboration with TikTok and comes after Mansa unveiled a slate of ten original microdrama series earlier in 2026. Mansa, co-founded by Oyelowo (Selma) and Parker (The Birth of a Nation), also continues to develop traditional TV and film projects and holds a theatrical distribution deal with AMC Theatres, which released its thriller Newborn earlier this year.
