A first trailer has been released for Fortitude, a World War II espionage thriller directed by Simon West that dramatises one of the Allies' most ambitious deception operations ahead of D-Day. The film stars Nicolas Cage as Dusko Popov, the real-life double agent widely credited as an inspiration for Ian Fleming's James Bond, making the casting a notable point of interest for the film's blend of true wartime history and pop-culture mythology.

The 103-minute film follows spies Dudley Clarke and Thomas Argyll "TAR" Robertson (played by Ed Skrein and Matthew Goode) as they mount a vast deception campaign using fake tanks, aircraft, ships, actors and false radio traffic to mislead Hitler's forces, with backing from Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming. The ensemble cast also includes Michael Sheen as Churchill, Art Malik as Fleming, Jordi Mollà, Alice Eve and Ben Kingsley. Fortitude does not yet have a confirmed release date.
