LISA of BLACKPINK has announced that her documentary Always Lalisa, chronicling her solo year away from the group, will receive a worldwide theatrical release. Directed by Sue Kim, the film offers an intimate look at the K-pop star's efforts to redefine herself as an independent artist while facing new pressures, particularly in the Western music market. Its release marks a significant moment for LISA as she continues to expand her solo career beyond BLACKPINK.

The documentary will open in cinemas and IMAX worldwide on 12 October, with tickets going on sale from 9 September via the film's website, before it later streams on YouTube Premium. It covers the period LISA spent recording her debut solo album Alter Ego, which reached number seven on the Billboard 200 in 2025, and filming her acting debut in White Lotus. The film will premiere earlier, on 18 September, at the Toronto International Film Festival, and its release coincides with the announcement of her upcoming EP, Press Play, due out 23 October.
