Shemar Moore returns as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson in the first trailer for "S.W.A.T.: Exiles", a spin-off of the CBS police procedural that ran for eight seasons before ending in May 2025. Moore reunited with Sony Pictures Television to continue the story after the original series was cancelled twice yet kept being revived, and the follow-up eventually landed at Starz following a bidding war, securing an early Season 2 renewal ahead of its premiere.

The trailer shows Hondo forced into retirement after a botched raid kills a young operator, only to be persuaded back into service by his former commanding officer, Robert Hicks (Patrick St. Esprit), to lead a new squad of underperforming recruits that their superiors have quietly set up to fail. The inexperienced team gradually gains discipline and loyalty under Hondo's guidance, but he also discovers a mole feeding information to an outside party intent on sabotaging both the new unit and the wider S.W.A.T. programme. "S.W.A.T.: Exiles" is set to premiere on Starz on 25 September.
