Speaking on the podcast On Film… With Kevin McCarthy, the Oscar nominee said he was not receiving a flood of calls, joking that the industry seems to have "pushback" against him for being Canadian, a wry nod to the well-documented struggles transgender actors often face in Hollywood.

Page played Sinon, an Ithacan soldier used as a pawn to end the Trojan War, marking his second collaboration with Nolan after Inception. He said he had no plans to take a break and hopes to focus on doing good work, adding that he believes he can now produce his best performances since transitioning, having shed the "discomfort" he previously carried while acting. He described wrapping filming on The Odyssey as an emotional "full-circle moment" compared with his earlier experience on set with Nolan.
