Lenovo has unveiled Project Swan, a concept ThinkBook laptop with a flexible screen that expands horizontally from 14 to 17 inches, shown off at IFA 2026. It builds on Lenovo's history of rollable-screen concepts, offering a more compact and practical alternative to some of the company's more extreme designs, and points towards where business laptop displays could be heading.

The Swan looks like a standard 14-inch laptop until its flexible OLED panel unrolls to a 17-inch, 16:9 screen. It measures 17.9mm thick and weighs 1.6kg, making it slightly bulkier than a typical 14-inch machine but notably light and portable for a 17-inch display. At an early hands-on preview, the device appeared close to a finished product rather than a rough prototype, though the reviewer noted the lid is heavy due to housing the extra screen and motor, which limits how far it can tilt and raises questions about the long-term durability of its compact hinge.
