Nvidia has confirmed that laptops powered by its Arm-based RTX Spark N1X chip will launch in October, arriving in two distinct configurations. The announcement follows months of speculation about Nvidia's N1X and N1 chips, with the N1 now confirmed not to arrive this year. This marks Nvidia's push into Arm-based laptop and mini-PC hardware combining its Blackwell GPU architecture with Grace CPUs.

The higher-end N1X configuration pairs a 6,144-core Blackwell RTX GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU and 24GB to 128GB of unified memory, destined for premium laptops and compact desktops such as Microsoft's Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. A scaled-down variant offers a 5,120-core GPU, an 18-core CPU and 24GB to 32GB of memory, and is expected to feature in most RTX Spark laptops from manufacturers including Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI. Nvidia has only vaguely teased gaming performance of around 100fps at 1440p with ray-tracing and DLSS enabled, and pricing remains unknown, though ongoing memory shortages are expected to push these devices towards the premium end of the market.
