Tecno, a budget smartphone brand affiliated with Itel and Infinix, has unveiled the Bezelless, a concept phone with no visible screen bezel at all, ahead of its debut at the IFA trade show in Berlin. The Verge's reviewer was sent a prototype and found that the 6.78-inch, 144Hz OLED display genuinely runs edge-to-edge, with no black border visible except a faint line at extreme angles, though a slim silver frame still surrounds it. The device is purely a proof of concept and will never go on sale, but it demonstrates that fully eliminating a phone's bezel is technically achievable.

Tecno achieved the effect using two layers of cover glass, with the top layer stopping at the frame's edge while the lower glass and OLED panel extend beneath it, hiding the display's inactive edge. This required redesigning the phone to be assembled from the rear rather than the front, using a custom adhesive to secure the screen. While the reviewer found the resulting frame marginally thicker than on typical flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, they concluded the change looks striking but is a cosmetic rather than functional upgrade, since manufacturers largely stopped chasing thinner bezels once they became small enough that most users stopped noticing.
