Two senior aides to Nigel Farage, James Orr and Dan Jukes, have stepped down from their roles at Reform UK pending an internal investigation into allegations that the party breached political donation rules. The allegations stem from an undercover Channel 4 News broadcast, which claimed the pair were implicated in arranging polling funded by an overseas company, a potential breach of UK electoral law that requires donations to come from permissible domestic sources.

The Channel 4 News investigation alleged that Reform UK accepted funding from a US firm to cover three opinion polls commissioned earlier this year, costing £32,500. In fact, the supposed donors were undercover reporters from the investigative group Verbatim, posing as an American financier and his UK-based son. Jukes was a senior aide to Farage, while Orr served as the party's head of policy. A Reform UK spokesperson said both had stepped aside while the investigation proceeds "independently and without prejudice," adding that no further comment would be made until it concludes.
