Tamar AI, a Palo Alto-based creative technology firm, is bringing its AI-native filmmaking platform TapNow to the Venice Production Bridge, showcasing projects from its "10,000 Parallel Universes" incubation programme and unveiling a new streaming service called Glanze. The move reflects a wider push by AI production tool developers to lower the barriers to large-scale storytelling, traditionally controlled by major studios with big budgets and crews, by giving small teams or even solo creators the tools to build ambitious film and television projects.

TapNow bundles multimodal AI, intelligent agents and production workflows, and says it is used daily by more than three million people across 150 countries, alongside its TapTV creator community and TapTV Arena events arm, which has run over 30 hackathons and summits. Its "10,000 Parallel Universes" programme, backed by HappyHorse, drew more than 2,000 submissions in its first season and offered a prize pool exceeding $500,000, with selected teams given computing support and, in some cases, funding, without TapNow taking copyright. One featured project, "Primordia", a science-fiction saga built almost entirely by two creators, Liu Haonan and Qiao Yuhang, illustrates the approach, with Qiao noting that AI tools let a small team avoid the large crews and constant interruptions typically needed for even modest shoots.
