Dyson unveiled its CameraJet, a combined toothbrush and water flosser, as its headline product announcement at IFA 2026 in Berlin. Engadget's reporter tried the £/$500 device on demo dentures rather than live teeth, describing it as the most complicated toothbrush they've handled, with a built-in camera guiding precise water jets between teeth and gums.

The CameraJet uses a "Gap Optical Targeting" system that captures 28 images per second from a tiny 100,000-pixel camera, firing water only when it detects gaps between teeth, which reduces water use compared with existing flossers and streams a live feed to a companion smartphone app. Users can switch between brushing, flossing or both at once, and the small water tank managed at least two full passes without refilling. Dyson says the video feed stays private to the user's phone and isn't processed elsewhere, though the device costs roughly £150-£200 more than premium rivals from Philips Sonicare or Oral-B, with ongoing costs for Dyson-branded replacement heads and toothpaste.
