Amber Eggers, who appeared on WE TV's reality series "Love After Lockup," has died aged 41 from acute liver failure at a hospital in Georgia. Her death, which occurred on 3 September, was confirmed by her mother, Monica Eggers, to TMZ. Eggers had become known to viewers of the franchise after featuring in its second season, and her passing follows a period of declining health that had already drawn public concern and support from fans.

Eggers, who had been serving a four-year sentence for drug trafficking, appeared on the show alongside partner Vincent Gonzalez, who proposed to her during filming, though the relationship ended after her release from prison. She went on to make cameo appearances in later instalments of the franchise, including "Life After Lockup", from around 2021. Her health began deteriorating in 2025, when she was hospitalised with severe pneumonia and a bloodstream bacterial infection, prompting her sister Erin to launch a GoFundMe appeal to help cover medical costs. She was hospitalised again more than a year later after feeling unwell, and her mother said doctors were ultimately unable to keep her heart beating, with acute liver failure given as the cause of death.
