Josh Charnley opened the scoring after 10 minutes and celebrated by mock-signing a contract, moments before it was announced he had actually agreed a new deal with Leigh through to 2027. Tries from David Armstrong, Umyla Hanley (two) and Adam Cook gave Leigh a 24-10 half-time lead despite replies from Jacob Douglas and Tristan Sailor.
