Rangers extended their unbeaten start to the Scottish Premiership season with a third consecutive victory, beating Motherwell 1-0 at Ibrox thanks to an opportunistic goal from Ryan Naderi. The German substitute pounced after Motherwell goalkeeper Alex Paulsen was dispossessed while attempting to dribble past him outside the box, allowing Naderi to roll the ball into an empty net in the 12th minute. Despite Motherwell dominating possession and creating several chances, Rangers proved more clinical and held on comfortably for the win.

Elsewhere in the Premiership, Kim Min-su missed a first-half penalty for Motherwell and debutant Kevin Kelsy also failed to convert good chances after coming on as a substitute for Rangers. Dundee United drew 1-1 with Falkirk after Michael Forbes scored an added-time equaliser to cancel out Jacob Murrell's early opener, while Kilmarnock earned their first point of the campaign in a goalless draw at Aberdeen, though they remain without a win.
