Clean-cut manager of swanky steakhouse is booked for mother’s MURDER after police find bloodstained silver knives in his apartment

A restaurant manager in Miami has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder after his mother was found stabbed to death in his apartment. Stefano Cremasco Cicero, 36, who manages the upscale 1986 Steak House in Coconut Grove, was discovered with blood on his hands, clothing and shoes by police responding to a call from the Solitair Brickell high-rise, and reportedly told officers "I was defending myself" before leading them to his flat, where his mother was found fatally wounded.

Police say a search of the 47th-floor apartment turned up bloodstained kitchen knives, two blood-stained white shirts, a broken wine bottle and broken glass, while surveillance footage and key fob records showed the pair entering the building together the previous night and Cremasco Cicero later moving between floors in blood-marked clothing while carrying a knife. A food delivery driver told police he asked her to call 911 before handing her the phone; officers pronounced the victim dead at 5.08am. Cremasco Cicero is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and, as a foreign national on an investor visa, is also subject to an immigration hold; his wife told officers she had been at a wedding in France while her mother-in-law, who had travelled from Mexico, was staying with him.
