NTSB reveals if crew survived Amazon cargo jet disaster as it shares details about victims

Fox News · 7 hours ago

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has confirmed that the crew of an Amazon-operated cargo jet survived after the aircraft overran the runway and caught fire while landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday. The crash killed five people and injured five others, with officials continuing to investigate how the aircraft ran off the runway and struck vehicles on the ground.

NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy said the jet collided with two vehicles carrying at least eight occupants after it broke through the airport perimeter. Seven of the victims were travelling in an airline cleaning services van inside the airport grounds, while a separate civilian vehicle was also struck. The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing, and this is described as a developing story.
