Alissa White-Gluz, formerly of Arch Enemy, unveiled her new band Blue Medusa in a surprise live debut at a club show in Berlin on Friday 4 September, sharing the bill with fellow metal acts Kreator and Heaven Shall Burn. The performance marks a significant step for the five-piece, formed in March, as White-Gluz continues building a career beyond Arch Enemy following her exit from the band last year.

Blue Medusa played a four-song set at the Huxleys Neue Welt venue, including the originals "Flying Monkey", "Crocodile" and "Checkmate", alongside a cover of White-Gluz's 2023 collaboration with guitarist Nita Strauss, "The Wolf You Feed". The show, organised by Corrupted Blood Records and streamed live on Twitch, also saw the label announce a new festival, Corrupted Blood Open Air, planned for summer 2027 with a 10,000-capacity, plus a merchandise collaboration with Kreator. White-Gluz left Arch Enemy in November after 11 years, going on to release solo material and launch Blue Medusa—completed by guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia, drummer Delaney Jaster and bassist Alicia Vigil—on International Women's Day in March.
