Metalcore act Defences have released a new single, "More Of Us (Than There Are Of Them)", featuring a guest appearance from Benji Webbe of Skindred. The track blends the two bands' styles across a dynamic that shifts between melody and heaviness, and carries a message of collective resistance against injustice, making it notable both as a genre crossover and as a politically charged statement piece.

Vocalist Cherry Duesbury said the song was partly inspired by witnessing the initial wave of ICE detentions in the US and subsequent public controversies, which felt personal given family living in a Republican-majority state. She described writing it to capture a growing public awakening against institutional corruption and authoritarian overreach, framing the track as an anthem for dissent turning into action. Defences will support Future Palace on a UK tour in November, alongside Autumn, with dates in London (4th), Manchester (5th), Glasgow (6th) and Leeds (7th).
