ABC has announced performers for its "9/11 Tribute in Light: Live from Lower Manhattan" special, marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Country star Lainey Wilson, pop icon Cyndi Lauper and Five For Fighting frontman John Ondrasik will perform live from the base of the Tribute in Light, the twin beams that have lit New York's skyline every 11 September since 2002, as the broadcast pays tribute to victims, survivors, first responders and affected communities.

The hour-long special will be hosted by David Muir, Robin Roberts and Diane Sawyer, and is produced by Disney Entertainment Television in partnership with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. It airs on Friday, 11 September at 8pm ET across ABC, Disney+, Hulu, National Geographic, ABC Owned Television Stations livestreams and ABC News Live, with Ondrasik performing his band's song "Superman" as part of the tribute.
