Shroom and Gloom release countdown: Exact date and time
Deck-building roguelike Shroom and Gloom is set to launch worldwide on Thursday 10 September, publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed. The game puts a twist on the traditional deck-builder genre by centring its mechanics around different types of mushrooms, and its release matters for fans of the genre keen to try a fresh take on card-based combat and exploration.
The game is described as an FPS roguelike double-deck builder, tasking players with battling mutated mushrooms and triggering mega-combos across hand-drawn dungeons. Players will build two separate decks from a pool of over 100 cards, one for exploration and one for combat, with no fixed approach to deck construction since the focus is on creating combos. Those wanting a preview before launch can try a free demo currently available on Steam, and the game can also be wishlisted ahead of release.
