Breaking Benjamin frontman Benjamin Burnley used a mid-concert pause during a gig in Holmdel, New Jersey, to promote a Fallout 4 mod he had created, telling the crowd he wanted to help it outdo the downloads of a mod made by a fellow modder who had mocked his work online. Burnley, who describes himself as an amateur Skyrim and Fallout 4 modder, revealed the incident during a filmed set break, asking fans to download his mod as a way of getting back at the person he said had bullied him in the modding community.

The mod in question, called True First Person, keeps players in first-person view during actions such as entering workshops, and is tagged "AI-assisted" on Nexus Mods, reflecting limited AI involvement in its development. Since its release on 1 September, it has amassed just over 2,300 unique downloads, though Burnley has said he intends to keep promoting it at gigs every night until it reaches a million. The clip, filmed by a Reddit user, shows an audience member eventually shouting for the band to resume playing music.
