Ikea has launched the Badkruka, a new wireless Bluetooth speaker, in the US for $59.99, expanding the retailer's push into affordable home audio. Unlike the tiny $10 Kallsup speaker Ikea unveiled at CES 2026 earlier this year, the Badkruka is a larger, mains-powered unit aimed at fixed home use rather than portability, reflecting Ikea's strategy of offering multiple speaker options at different price points and use cases.

Standing almost seven inches tall, the Badkruka lacks a rechargeable battery and needs to be plugged in, and it comes in just two finishes, black plastic or a wood-effect pink, fewer than the Kallsup's colour range. It supports Bluetooth streaming, Spotify Tap and three genre-based EQ presets, can be paired with a second unit for stereo sound, and works in Ikea's multi-speaker mode alongside other compatible speakers. For wired use, it also includes an optical cable, letting it connect to TVs, home theatre systems or a PC's TOSLINK port.
