Peacock has confirmed that its new limited series The Good Daughter, based on Karin Slaughter's 2017 bestselling novel, will begin streaming from 12 November 2026. The show reunites two returning drama favourites, with Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) and Rose Byrne playing estranged sisters whose family was devastated by a violent attack in their childhood, and it has been likened to Sharp Objects and Mare of Easttown for its Southern Gothic, small-town crime atmosphere.

The six-episode series follows Charlotte "Charlie" Quinn (Fahy) and Samantha "Sam" Quinn (Byrne), sisters from the fictional Georgia town of Pikeville whose mother was murdered when they were young. Twenty years on, Charlotte witnesses a school shooting in their hometown, an event that drags Samantha back into the family and reopens old resentments and secrets. Slaughter wrote all six episodes herself, while Steph Green directs and executive produces; Peacock has also released a first teaser trailer and first-look images alongside the release date announcement.
