The awful final moments of Bali murder-suicide revealed in chilling CCTV footage – as young daughter fled her Aussie killer father and screamed: ‘I love you, daddy’

Daily Mail · 2 days ago

Police in Bali say Australian father Damien John Shaw, 56, removed CCTV cameras and chased his young daughter before killing her and her brother in a murder-suicide at their rented villa in Kuta. Shaw, a maritime worker from Fremantle, was found dead alongside his six-year-old son Archie and four-year-old daughter Laura on Sunday morning, three days after his Indonesian wife had travelled to Jakarta to visit her parents. The case has drawn attention after police revealed chilling CCTV footage showing the children's final moments, including the daughter repeatedly calling out "I love you, Daddy" as her father chased her through the villa.

Denpasar's police chief said the couple's relationship had been strained since 2022, though the wife told officers they had not argued recently and had been "getting along well". Officers said Shaw suffered from severe anxiety and had expressed suicidal thoughts but had never received psychiatric treatment. His wife has requested that no autopsy be carried out, and the three bodies were buried at a Muslim cemetery in Denpasar on Monday, though investigators say they could still seek a court order to exhume the remains if deemed necessary.
