Seven people, including a three-year-old boy, were shot on an East Fayette Street in central Baltimore on Wednesday evening around 9pm when multiple gunmen opened fire. Police officers responded quickly, with one officer present rushing the wounded child to hospital in a patrol car. The incident has prompted appeals from city leadership for those responsible to surrender.

All seven victims sustained injuries classified as non-life-threatening, though the toddler required surgery. Police believe multiple shooters were involved but have not determined the exact number. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to identify those responsible, with no arrests made at the time of reporting. Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley condemned the gunmen as "cowards" and pledged to pursue those accountable.
