A 47-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman in her 90s was allegedly stabbed to death at a unit in Bondi, Sydney, on Saturday. The incident, treated as a case of domestic violence, is being investigated by NSW Police and has drawn attention given the victim's advanced age and the fact that the accused was known to her.

Police were called to the property on Chambers Avenue at 5.15pm on Saturday, where the woman was found with significant injuries; she died after being treated at the scene.
