“Though I Am an Inept Villainess” will return in January 2027 with its second cour, “The First Royal Outing” Arc, alongside three new cast members and a new key visual. The story resumes as Reirin and Keigetsu attend the Shu clan’s Harvest Festival, where a disrupted ceremony causes their body-swap curse to recur and Reirin is abducted.

Yuichi Nakamura will voice Reirin’s eldest brother, Keikou, while Shunichi Toki plays her second-eldest brother, Keishou; Chiaki Kobayashi joins as Unran, a southern village chief. The anime, based on Nakamura Satsuki’s light novels, premiered in July 2026, but Toho has not yet announced the exact January streaming date.
