Patrick Clancy and his new wife, Dr Rachel Danis, have announced they are starting a family together, approximately three-and-a-half years after his ex-wife Lindsay killed their three children in January 2023. The couple made the announcement in their first interview since Lindsay's high-profile murder trial ended in a controversial mistrial earlier this month, with Patrick stating they plan to tell their future child about their siblings.

Lindsay Clancy, a 36-year-old labour and delivery nurse, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder for strangling her children—Cora (five), Dawson (three) and Callan (eight months old)—with exercise bands in the family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, citing severe postpartum depression and psychosis; after six weeks of trial and seven days of deliberation, a mistrial was declared when one juror refused to join the other eleven in voting for the insanity defence. Patrick, who served as a key witness at trial, has since moved to New York City, remarried in April 2024, and is rebuilding his life alongside his fertility specialist wife.
