Spain’s government will continue supporting its audiovisual industry through the Spain Crece Fund, potentially with further strategic investment from the state-backed SETT venture capital fund. Digital Transformation Minister Óscar López said ongoing public support was justified by the sector’s record growth and international success, including Spanish films and series achieving major global audiences.

The Spain Audiovisual Hub Plan has directed €1.6 billion into the industry, helping make Spain the European Union’s largest production market. Production rose 31% in 2025, employment increased from 30,900 workers in 2020 to more than 64,000, and Spanish productions represented nine of Europe’s 11 most-watched series; SETT is also preparing €450 million in investments across several companies.
