TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp announced that her blue Land Rover Defender has been stolen from London whilst she is recovering from a broken leg sustained during a recent holiday fall in Devon. The theft comes at a particularly inconvenient time for Allsopp, who requires the vehicle for mobility whilst recuperating from surgery, having described the incident as "insult to injury". Allsopp appealed publicly for information about the car, sharing its registration number and joking that it was "probably in a container en route to Timbuktu by now".

Allsopp noted that her husband Ben had purchased car trackers the week prior but had not yet installed them, and AirTags remained in their boxes. The theft occurs amid a broader trend of Land Rover vehicle thefts, which peaked at 7,136 stolen vehicles in 2023 but have since declined to 3,939 in 2025, attributed to security improvements including software updates, enhanced key protection and increased police collaboration.
