Google Search product chief to speak at Disrupt 2026
Robby Stein, vice president of product at Google Search, will deliver a fireside chat at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 titled "From MVP to Billions of Users: How Product Decisions Must Change at Scale." The session addresses a critical challenge for technology leaders: how product teams balance speed and innovation with trust and reliability when their decisions affect billions of users globally. This is particularly relevant for founders and product leaders navigating the transition from early-stage products to large-scale platforms.
Stein brings substantial experience from both sides of the scale divide. He co-founded the social recommendations startup Stamped, which Yahoo acquired, spent five years at Instagram leading consumer products including Stories, Feed, Direct Messaging and Reels, and served as head of product at Artifact, an AI-powered news platform, before returning to Google in 2024. Currently, he oversees generative AI products within Google Search, where AI Mode has grown to surpass 1 billion monthly users within a year of its launch. TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 takes place 13–15 October at Moscone West in San Francisco, featuring 250+ speakers across 200+ sessions.
