The newly announced upgrades for the Silverado and Sierra introduce picture-in-picture improvements to both CarPlay and Android Auto. GM's approach appears to be evolving towards allowing both native systems and phone projection to coexist rather than choosing between them, with the company's product manager explaining that customers should not have to decide which system to use.
