Actress Rosario Dawson has revealed that Ahsoka Season 2 will mark a significant turning point for the Star Wars character, with Ahsoka finally beginning to rediscover the joy she lost after decades of trauma and loss. This transformation follows her reunion with Anakin Skywalker in Season 1, which Dawson credits as crucial for Ahsoka to heal unresolved wounds from their fractured relationship during the Clone Wars.

Dawson elaborated at Comic Con Scotland that the character has historically been restrained, solitary and burdened by trauma, but will now become more relaxed and willing to rely on others rather than carrying everything alone. This shift extends to her repaired relationship with Sabine Wren, and Season 2 will explore Ahsoka's journey towards greater lightness and community engagement, building on the transition audiences glimpsed when she accepted Sabine as her Padawan in the first season.
