Dolly Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, has been dismissed as head of security at her properties after more than 20 years in the role. The decision has reportedly removed Seaver and his security companies from all Parton-owned sites, with replacement guards now protecting her homes, museum and warehouse.

Seaver inherited the position from his father, Larry Seaver, and recently announced Parton’s death in an Instagram video. He and his team blamed manager Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank for the termination, calling it unexpected and unexplained; TMZ reported that Parton’s properties and business interests are held by the DP Dean Trust, in which Seaver retains a personal interest. Parton died in Nashville on 25 August after a brief battle with cancer.
