The moves come after the White House barred several news organisations, intensifying concerns about media access and the administration’s relationship with independent broadcasters.

Trump banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico, while some reporters reportedly lost their press passes. Major broadcasters including Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC then declined to provide pooled television coverage of his United Nations trip, although Real America’s Voice and Hearst continued covering some events; the dispute’s duration remains unclear, and Trump has also criticised the New York Times and Washington Post.
