Karol G's collaboration "BbY WOW" is currently sitting at number one on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for its third consecutive week, yet the Colombian artist has revealed that the track nearly didn't make it onto her album at all. She initially excluded the song from No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto because she felt it was incomplete and required the right additions to realise her vision.

The song was originally written in January with Spanish artist Judeline, but Karol G continued to sense something was missing. After exploring alternative, indie, ambient and pop-rock influences during the album's production, she identified Spanish artist rusowsky as the perfect fit, describing his music as "the perfect balance" between alternative and urban sounds. Once Judeline and rusowsky recorded and submitted their verses remotely from Spain, Karol G immediately published the official album tracklist. The completed collaboration became her fourth number one on the Billboard Global 200 and her fifth on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, with all three artists performing the track together live for the first time at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
