Scottish actors Mark Bonnar and Ashley Jensen are reuniting for Rambling, a new comedy currently being filmed in rural Scotland. They play mismatched walking companions whose relationship is shaped by grief, loneliness and a search for connection, following their earlier pairing in Channel 4’s Catastrophe.

Bonnar’s character, Gerry, is highly organised and trying to honour a promise to his recently deceased brother, while Jensen’s chaotic character, Cat, joins him after being expelled from another walking group. Written by Iain Connell and Sharon Young, the programme explores loss and companionship; both 57-year-old actors have praised the script and their reunion.
