Prime Video has cancelled the action-comedy series "Ride or Die," starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham. The decision shocked audiences and critics alike, as the show had proven itself a commercial and critical success, making it a particularly unexpected cancellation that has prompted industry-wide scrutiny of streaming platform decision-making processes.

The show debuted at number one in Prime Video's charts, attracting 927,000 views within its first two days and accumulating 869 million minutes watched overall.
