The new device, informally dubbed Luna, will feature six built-in microphones and integration with Meta's AI chatbot and Muse AI agent, marking the company's attempt to address public concerns about camera-equipped wearables.

The Connect event will feature a keynote from CEO Mark Zuckerberg on 23 September at 7PM ET (midnight UK time), followed by developer sessions on 24 September at 1PM ET. Viewers can register via Meta's website or stream on the Meta for Developers Facebook page, with translations available for international audiences. Additionally, Meta may reveal Project Phoenix, a slimmer mixed reality headset, though it may not reach retail this year. Previous Connect events have delivered multiple smart glasses models and software updates for Quest headsets, establishing the conference as Meta's primary venue for hardware and software announcements.
