Diane Lane has joined Hulu’s upcoming limited series Victoria, playing Lee Calloway, a determined venture capitalist. She will star alongside Li Jun Li, whose character, Maxine Tao, becomes entangled in San Francisco’s elite venture-capital world. The series is an erotic thriller centred on power, luxury, deception and a killer who knows the protagonist’s secrets.

Christy Hall created the series and will serve as showrunner, writer and executive producer, while Geeta Vasant Patel will direct and executive-produce the pilot. Disney’s Onyx Collective and Counterpart Studios are producing the project, which Hulu greenlit earlier this month; no release date or episode count was given. Victoria joins Hulu’s forthcoming slate, including a Prison Break revival, The Land and Count My Lies.
