Filip Hrgovic says Moses Itauma could become almost unbeatable if he mentally recovers from his shock IBF heavyweight title defeat. Hrgovic stopped the previously favoured 21-year-old Briton in the ninth round at London’s O2 Arena, despite being outboxed early in the fight.

Itauma had won 14 of his first 15 professional bouts and initially used his speed, timing and counterpunching to trouble Hrgovic, even knocking him down in the second round. Hrgovic believes Itauma’s physical ability is exceptional, but warned that rebuilding confidence after such a humiliating loss will require a demanding training camp and considerable mental toughness.
