Dune: Awakening has launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, expanding Funcom’s survival game beyond PC. The release also introduces a full single-player mode across all platforms, removing the two main barriers for console players and those who prefer not to share Arrakis with others.

Set in an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides was never born, the game lets players build shelters, harvest spice and navigate factional conflict while surviving sandworms and extreme conditions. The solo update adapts systems including the Exchange and Landsraad, adds customisable difficulty, concludes Book One’s story and improves progression and recovery; Xbox players can access it through Game Pass, while Dune: Part Three is due in cinemas on 18 December 2026.

  • Dune: Awakening is now available on consoles and PC.
  • A complete single-player mode has been added.
  • Dune: Part Three arrives in cinemas in December 2026.
